A small, but very distinct, home-work-shop hybrid space has been created in a typical post-war apartment building located in downtown Athens, for the international property development group MOLONGLO. KDI CONTRACT successfully completed this demanding refurbishment project by implementing a design that, according to the MOLONGLO Team, has sought to respect the original building’s architecture and purpose, to fold in traditional techniques and salvaged materials and subtly merge modern amenities.
A work that respects Athens’s many histories and facilitates the coexistence of its past and present.
